November 22nd saw the beginning of 'Friendship Week' in St. Mary's. All aspects of friendship were discussed during the week, to encourage positive attitudes to the topic while also discussing Bullying and ways to cope with it.
A special thanks to the children in Fifth class for their help during Friendship Week, organising our Friendship Stops and the buddy Days with the Infant Classes. This proved a huge success and may be continued during the year.
Friendship week took place in St. Mary's on the 6th - 10th February.
The entire school took part in a variety of activities, lessons and discussions aimed to encourage a positive experience of friendship in our school. The sixth class children, in particular, are to be thanked for their hard work and enthusiasm in running obstacle courses for the younger classes during the week.
We aspire to Friendship week being a life long lesson in highlighting the value of friendship both in school and outside school.
