Mind the G.A.P. performance for all classes highlighting development themes of food security, fairtrade, child labour and climate change
Following on from our very successful Christmas shoebox appeal last year we are doing a variation of it this year in partnership with the Shoebox Appeal run by Cork Penny Dinners. These showboxes are distributed to children in need in the Cork area. You will have recevied a letter explaining this in detail.  We collected a total of 106 shoeboxes which we delivered to Cork Penny Dinners.

We also propose to organise a Christmas jumper day in aid of Cork Simon community prior to Christmas.  We raised €450 from our Christmas Jumper day in aid of Cork Simon.

A huge thank you to Jane and Aideen who steered, taught and promoted water safety within 4th and 6th class over the past five weeks resulting in the renewal of our Safety Awareness Flag. Well done girls.
Activities during our Green Schools Fortnight included -

  • Susan Galway of Trocaire gave a talk to 5th class on Fairtrade.
  • Heritage In Schools Jessica Mason did a Workshop for classes 3rd - 6th
  • Cathal McCarthy - Road Safety Authority talk to all classes.
