Repak Recycling Week 2011 - Schools Colouring Competition
The colouring competition is an important element of the annual Repak Recycle Week activities. The theme of this years competition was to encourage people to recycle more items in the work place while improving their knowledge of how to properly prepare recyclables for the green bin. Every year the number of entries grow and the standard increases. This year saw over 3,500 entries from schools throughout the country. The standard was exceptionally high and it was clear that an enormous time and effort was put into the competition. We are delighted that one of our pupils was chosen as a winner this year.
The winning pupil is Deirdre Browne - 2nd class who was chosen as the national winner in the Under 8 year old category. She won an i-pod shuffle for herself and an Aluminium water bottle for all her classmates.
